Twos Programming

At age two to three a special sense of order, concentration, coordination and independence begin to emerge in a child. This is an ideal time to begin a child's training in Montessori, as he or she is at the perfect period to build a strong foundation for future learning. Much of our curriculum is focused on sensorial and practical life works, as these areas provide the two year old with appropriate opportunities to increase his or her autonomy and concentration.

There are plenty of hands-on experiences such as pouring, sweeping, dusting, buttoning, and zipping.  The children learn to take care of themselves and their surroundings and develop skills communicating with one another.  Children are encouraged to use their words and practice lessons of grace and courtesy.  Two year olds learn to share things and to be considerate of others.

  • Two Day
  • Full and Half Day options are available.
Three - Six Year Old Programming

Dr. Montessori's approach to education utilizes self-correcting materials, rather than "teaching" the child concepts. The materials in the classroom are designed to stimulate the child's interests and facilitate his or her understanding and learning capabilities spontaneously. This approach is based on the "absorbent mind" of a child, which from age three to six is developed with a child's growing sense of awareness and active participation. These years are one phase of growth, with physical, intellectual and psychological characteristics common to the whole period. Children ages three to six may participate in the following:

  • Three Day
  • Five Day
  • Full and Half Day options are available.

Drawing Board Programming

Montessori Learning Path offers an art curriculum as part of our full day programming.  The class meets for five mornings or three afternoons to enhance the primary Montessori experience.  The objectives of the program are:

  • Appreciation of art and purpose of art.
  • Art Timelines
  • Understanding one's own creativity and sense of expression.
  • Understanding techniques used in drawing, painting and sculpture.

Don't miss this opportunity to help your child's creativity grow in amazing ways!

Spanish Programming

Our Spanish curriculum is offered in all of our 3-6 year old Montessori classrooms one day a week.  The content is Montessori based and taught by a bilingual Spanish teacher.  Goals of the program are:

  • To initiate the developmental process of learning a second language in a Montessori environment.
  • To expose the children to the reality of a multicultural world through song, play, story, cultural expression and object/language association.
  • To tap into the children's innate ability to tackle a foreign accent and to provide a general basis upon which further language instruction can build.

We accomplish these goals by learning key vocabulary through repetition.  The same words and concepts are presented to the children through song, play, artistic expression, questioning, responding and repeating.  By learning the Spanish version of everyday items and tasks with which the children are already familiar, this program allows them to tackle the amazing feat of foreign language comprehension while having a wonderful time!

Extended Care Programming

In order to accommodate the needs of our working families we offer Before and After Care Programming. Our Before Care is available on a daily basis from 7:45am - 8:30am. Our After Care is available on a daily basis from 3:00pm- 5:30pm.
