Your child's participation in their third year of the 3-6 program, the Kindergarten year, is particularly important.  It is here where she will be "at the top of her class" in terms of seniority and the sense of responsibility and pride she feels in this role give her a great sense of accomplishment.  It is a time when skills that have been developing over the last 2 years start to solidify and an explosion in new and challenging work takes place.
